Extreme Heat Advisories

a sunset over a body of water

The Forestiere Underground Gardens is an open air museum without air conditioning. While it is naturally cooler underground, on days with temperatures above 105°F we may choose to cancel some afternoon tours and close early for the safety and comfort of our visitors and team. Those with reservations that will be affected by this decision will be notified as soon as possible and refunds will be issued accordingly.

If you are planning to visit us in the summer and are sensitive to the heat, please consider joining us for a morning tour when the temperatures are not as extreme. We also advise taking appropriate measures to be prepared for an hour-long walking tour in the heat such as hydrating, dressing for the weather, etc.
