GENERAL INFORMATION FOR 2012:

  • Reservations are required for school groups, clubs, charter groups, family
    reunions, etc.  Large groups (over 20 persons) may be divided into smaller,
    more manageable ones at our discretion.
  • Minimum number to receive a group discount is 15 persons. Teachers,
    group organizer/leader & bus driver are free.
  • Groups are generally scheduled before or after posted public tour times.
  • PEAK SEASON (May thru September):  From Memorial Day Weekend thru
    Labor Day, Wednesday thru Sunday are open for bookings in the early
    mornings (9:00 or 9:30 am) or the late afternoon (3:30 or 4:30 pm).  We
    regret that we can no longer offer reservations for large groups (more than
    20) between the hours of 10 AM to 3 PM on Saturdays & Sundays during
    the peak season.
  • Off SEASON (March & November):  Group reservations may be made for  
    Saturdays and Sundays between 10 AM and 3 PM in March and November.  
    (April & October):  Group reservations may be made for Wednesday thru
    Sunday from 9 AM to 3 PM, before or after the posted public tour times.
  • CLOSED  December, January, and February, and on Thanksgiving
    Day, Christmas Day and New Year's Day.  The site is also closed on
    Mondays and Tuesdays.
  • School field trip organizers with several classes should Email us with details
  • Because this is an outdoor environment, all tours are weather permitting
    and could be cancelled at the last minute if wet weather should arrive &
    create muddy conditions.  We do our best to give you notice.
